May Chang Essential Oil: Litsea Cubeba Fruit Oil May Chang is a strongly scented oil with a zingy sharp, lemon scent that has an edge of sweetness reminiscent of sweet lemon sherbet pips. The scent has been suggested calms anxiety but without causing drowsiness therefore a useful scent when taking exams or working. As a relaxing and uplifting oil, it is also referred to as The Oil of Tranquillity. This is for its ability to calm and refresh the body and emotional states. This oil is an astringent and is often used for deodorising, cleansing and toning particularly useful for greasy skin. It is also often used in hair products again most used with greasy hair. This oil should only be used in very small quantities in leave on products such as balms, creams or lotions as it can be sensitising. Care should be taken if using and a patch test done along with seeking advice from a qualified professional. May Chang essential oil blends particularly well with floral oils Jasmin, geranium and Lavender. It will also add a fresh edge to woods and spices. Nice too blended with orange, neroli and Rosemary. Never ingest or apply undiluted essential oils to the skin.
