The legendary Blackwing pencils were loved by award-winning writers such as John Steinbeck, Leonard Bernstein and Looney Tunes creator Chuck Jones or Disney’s Shamus Culhane. With the closure of the Eberhard Faber plant in America, the remaining Blackwing pencils become collectible and their demand skyrockets. Dedicated Blackwing enthusiasts are not afraid, even though the cost of a single pencil reaches $ 40. In 2016 the company Palomino, having already years of service in the pencil industry and having access to the best quality materials, manages to bring back to the market Blackwing pencils. Thanks to them, the new generation of musicians, writers, designers and writing fanatics has at its disposal the -ad admittedly- “Best pencil in the world.” What makes Blackwing pencil writing unique are the following features. All Blackwing pencils are made of Californian cedar wood, while their core is made of Japanese toner. Multiple coats of lacquer “dress” the body of the pencil on which the company logo is imprinted with the method of gold printing. Its characteristic design makes it stand out among the other pencils that have been made around the world. Finally, the hexagonal shape of the pencil favors stability in the hand.
